  13. I remember sycamore balls! I don't think the trees grow here in Idaho, but there were many where I grew up. Love your take on Star Trek!

    To answer Barbara's question....they look like they should have a nut inside when actually they don't. The ball just falls apart into these brown slivers that look like a small, but soft toothpick. I hardly can imagine how this contains a new tree seedling, but it does!
